I’ve been visiting a mugwort patch for nearly a decade to pay respects for the way it posts up right on the pacific oceans shore.

Here are a few bundles from these cherished moments, lovingly hand gathered and wrapped with joyful prayer and the garden’s rose like a cherry on top.

Mugwort is celebrated for its powerful chemistry that assists the mind to ease into deeper and slower states of consciousness. She is helpful for Dreamtime work, meditation, and even just your strait-forward relaxing and connecting to Higher Self. Mugwort is a very protective plant spirit, helping to cleanse space, support clearer intuition, and honored in ritual folk magic of many kinds. Mugwort has long been revered as an herb of vision and protection, helping create a grounded atmosphere for reflection and spiritual practice.

There are a few options for use: 

Light the tip, gently blow out the flame, and allow the fragrant smoke to drift through your space with intention. Or, pinch off small amount of a leaf, roll it gently inhaling the fragrance, and then burn as described above, or place into a glass of cool or hot water. Tea/hot water is steeped covered for 5 minutes for a more yang extraction, room temp drinking water for a more yin quality extraction method. Or, you can just keep the bundle by your bed or on your alter for appreciating and connecting and have it hold its space. There’s no wrong way. Enjoy!
